She was predeceased by : her father Samuel Ford; and her brother Paul Ford. She is survived by : her mother Pauline Ford (VanAuken); her husband Lee Wahlert; her children, Roxanne Dardano (Joseph), Matt Wahlert and Curt Wahlert (Andrea); her grandchildren, Beau Wahlert, Lilee Wahlert, Isabella Dardano and Noah Dardano; her brother Jim Ford; and her great-aunt Lil.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Veterans Reception Center (910 Main St, Van Meter, IA 50261).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the American Red Cross.
