He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Pitsenbarger and Darlene Pitsenbarger (Pearson); his parents-in-law, Art and Sandy Duncan; his granddaughter Tyra; and his brother-in-law Louie Clayton.
He is survived by: his wife Kelly Pitsenbarger of Adel; his children, Stacey Pitsenbarger (Deana) of Rio Vista, California, Justin Pitsenbarger (Tonia) of Colo, Iowa and Amanda Doherty (Felix) of Elk Horn, Iowa; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Dusty), Anthony, Riley, RaeLynn, Justice (Jarrett), Jasmine (Keegan), Hunter (Kourtney) and Kelcie (Wesley); his great grandchildren, Desi, Evelyn, Bryce, Brock and Briar; and his sister Kay Vanags of Des Moines. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family, with a later designation to be made in John's name.
