It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margo Reed Harper (Adel, Iowa), who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Margo find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William W. Watkins, Jr. and Louise E. Watkins. She is survived by: her husband Kent; her brother Whit Watkins (Kimberly Connelly); her stepson Christopher (Colleen); and her grandson Bryson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Sun, Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel (7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, GA 31406). A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (24043 302nd Pl, Adel, IA 50003). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests considering a donation in Margo's memory to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31406, or to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1003 East Victory Drive, Savannah, GA 31405.
