It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nellie J. Cochran (Adel, Iowa), who passed away on November 19, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Nellie J. Cochran to show support.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Cochran (Jim); her parents, Gilbert Dymond and Violette Dymond; and her brother Dean Dymond. She is survived by: her sister Sherry Tonnenson; her sons, David (Aleta), Dennis (Ann), Steve (Denise) and Ron (Eve); her grandchildren, Chris (Michelle), Randy, Jason (Ellen), Amy McLaughlin (Adam), Joel, Debra Townsen (Michael), Laura, Emily Allen (Terrell) and Josh (Ashley); and her great grandchildren, Kalie, Mason Devon, Emmy, Nate, Tierney, Sterling, Addison, Sean, Harlow and Zoey.

Guests in attendance are encouraged to follow all Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines on Covid-19.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Redfield First Responders or New Hope Church in Adel.

“Our family is so sorry for your loss. Nellie was just the best. She sure loved her family - church family included. We sure loved her. Jim and her were just made for one another. She was so sweet to all the kids at school but if you were in the wrong she steered you right. No doubt. I worked with her on the Drug committee. The laughs we had, and some sorrows we shared. May God bless you all with a peace that she would have you know. Once again I am so sorry for your loss”
