He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Erica Harlan (Scott) of Urbandale, Monica Flanery of Adel, Sean Flanery of Adel and Rafe Flanery of Adel; his grandchildren, Dalton, Lexi, Ainsley, Makaia, Izzy and Hayden; and his siblings, Dan Flanery (Sheila), Tom Flanery (Kelli), Deb Van Winkle (Dan) and Kathy Jo Morris (Craig).
