He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Clifford and Zella Maxine Mason (Owens); his grandson Chris Lowe; his great grandchild Olivia Goodrich; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Mason of Afton, Iowa; and his siblings, James Mason of Indianola, Iowa and Barbara Woosley of Leon, Iowa.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
