It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel I. Mauer (Agency, Iowa), born in Stacyville, Iowa, who passed away on May 6, 2018, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Mauer and Elizabeth Mauer; and his siblings, Bill Mauer, Othmar Mauer, Roman Mauer, Arthur Mauer, Orville Mauer, Dale Mauer, Dean Mauer and Angella Grinder.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mauer of Agency, IA; his stepchildren, Howard Aschenbrenner (Kyle) of Agency, IA, Mike Aschenbrenner (Michelle) of Ottumwa, IA and Pamela Carter (Melvin Ash) of Birmingham, IA; his grandchildren, Jamie Aschenbrenner (Jamie) of Patrick Lennox, D. A., Michaele Cook (Tyler), Crystal Weller (Shane) and Chelsea Aschenbrenner; and his siblings, Darwin Mauer and Howdy Mauer. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
