He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Lane and Katherine Lane (Brown); his wife Emma Lou McElfish; his son Thomas; and his siblings, Paul, Sandy and Patty.
He is survived by: his son Robert Alvin Lane of Keota; his granddaughter Brittany Lane of Marion, Iowa; and his sisters, Kathe, Cindy and Cheryl.
