He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Lasek and Marjorie "Marge" Lasek (Hulen). He is survived by: his wife Colleen Lasek of Ainsworth, Iowa; his sons, Jesse Lasek (Betsy) of Ainsworth, Iowa and Blake Lasek (Molly Edgar) of Ainsworth, Iowa; his grandson Preston Lasek; and his brother John Downing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County, Ainsworth Community Church, and the Ainsworth Opera House.
