With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Allaway of Akron, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 12, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Carlson and Gloria Carlson (Boulden); her husband Don Allaway Jr.; her parents-in-law, Donald Sr. and Avis Allaway (Boni); her siblings-in-law, Jim Allaway and Debbie Phillips; and her nephew Brian McCormick.
She is survived by: her children, Don Allaway (Tammy) of Le Mars, IA, Andy Allaway of Westfield, IA and Sara Ver Hoeven (Kelly) of Hawarden, IA; her granddaughter Marissa Nelson (Michael); her great grandchildren, Logan and Karlie; her grandchild Donald'Donny'Dean IV Allaway (Heather); her great grandchild Thomas'TJ'; her grandchildren, Justin Allaway, Dylan Ver Hoeven, Kaleb Ver Hoeven, Lilly Allaway and Mia Allaway; her sister Sandy Clarstrom (Ron) of Kansas City, MO; and her sister-in-law Jeanne Hurteua of Florida. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
