We bid farewell to David Scott Olson of Akron, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 8, 2025 at the age of 55. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome'Jerry' Olson and Hyla Olson (Sherard). He is survived by: his significant other Angela Olson Sorenson; his brother Douglas Olson (Kerrie) of Akron; his sibling's children, Spencer Olson, Natalie and Kenda Olson; and his uncle Stanley Skattum. He is also survived by many cousins, godchildren, other extended relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (251 Main St, Akron, IA 51001).
