He is survived by: his wife Joy Sampson; his children, Jay Dirks of Akron, IA and Janelle Dooley (Mike) of Pflugerville, TX; his grandchildren, Alan Logan Nastri, Matthew Joseph Nastri, Mindy Joy Nastri, Alexander Jay Dirks (Courtney Lea) and Drew Michael Dirks; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Miller Dirks and Avery Lou Dirks; and his brother Chuck Dirks.
