He was predeceased by: his parents, Orel'Chuck' Banks and Nona Banks (DeRocher); and his stepgrandson Tyler Dawdy. He is survived by: his wife Caryl Joan Davis of Akron; and his children, Jeff Banks (Linda) of Hawarden, SD, Julie Zavadil (Hugh) of Topeka, KS, Jerry Banks of McCook Lake, SD, Jon Banks (Judy) of Akron, IA, Jodi Basart (Dave) of Akron, IA and Jamie Banks (Jodi) of Akron, IA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials can be made in Joe's name to the Food Bank of Siouxland.
