With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavonne Buum of Akron, Iowa, who passed away on August 29, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Lamoureux and Opal Lamoureux (Ferris); her husband Wayne Buum; her siblings, Arnold Lamoureux (Jean), Dennis Lamoureux (Elsie), Dolores Rozell (Archie) and Ruth Miller; and her brother-in-law Butch DeBruin.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Buum (Coleen) of Armstrong, IA, Gary Buum (Garnet) of McPherson, KS, Gordon Buum (MeYoung) of Leesville, LA and Glenda Plendl (Todd) of Remsen, IA; her grandchildren, Tricia Evenson (Wade), Melissa Sisneros (Steve), Amy Hoyer, Kristin Buum (Anthony Christ), Allie Forsythe (Dustin), Cassandra Rolling (Kyle), Danielle Merrill (Craig), Anthony Buum (Erica), Michael Buum (Marcie), Kevin Buum (Meghan), Eric Buum, Daniel Buum (Marlena), Joseph Buum (Angela), Travis Oetken (Shelly), Brooke Huls (Tom), Traci DeRocher (Mitch) and Brianna Plendl; her great grandchildren, Holden, Sawyer, Colby, Sophie, Kadie, Nataly, Steven, Kayla, Madison, Aspyn, Baker, Oakley, Remington, Riley, Reed, Aubri, Caiden, Adaline, Myles, Max, Macy, Ava, Jaxson, Cadence, Gracie, Ivy, Kristina, Logan, Wyatt, Graham, Laytin, Gabby, Bentli, Stella, Leo and Wesli; her great great grandchildren, Kinslee and Kylie; her sisters, Mary Rollins (John) of Akron and Cleone DeBruin of Larchwood, IA; and her brother-in-law Jack Miller. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
