James Kaster Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Kaster and Katherine Kaster (Espy); and his wife Barbara Kaster. He is survived by: his children, Deb Ferguson (Russell), Becky Kaster, Dennis Kaster (Collette) and Jimmy Kaster (Kathy); his grandchildren, Kari, Morgan (Clint), Kris (Kate), Kory (Holly), Tony (Chelsey), Sam, Sophie, Meghann (Randall), Josh and Thatcher; his great grandchildren, Cael, Jordan, Ava, Madeline, Matthew, Will, Taylor, Kiersten, Hawkins, Veronica, Ransom, John, Jasper, Melody (Gator), Vivian, Lorelei and Vera; and his brothers, John Kaster (Rose) and David Kaster (Karla).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Moravia Grace Church (101 E North St, Moravia, IA 52571). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials have been established to either the Moravia Grace Church or to the A.L.S. Association, and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Kaster Family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
