He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Griffin and Marie Griffin (Kosman); his wife Linda Ogle of Mary's Catholic Church; his brother Ronnie Griffin; his brother-in-law Brad Patton; and his nephew Shawn Shaffer.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Hatfield (Paul), Brian Griffin (Tammi) and Kevin Griffin (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Logan Hatfield, Becca Hammons (Colton), Makenzie Hastings (Hunter), Kaitlyn Griffin, Brock Griffin (Shelby Roozenboom), Abbey Teno (Joe) and Jax Griffin; his great grandchildren, Wrenlee, Parker and Hammons; his siblings, Joyce Robinson (Gilbert), Patty See, Dave Griffin (Cheryl), Donnie Griffin (Sherri), Robert Griffin (Carla) and Denise Patton; and his sister-in-law Janet Griffin. He is also survived by several other in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tharp Funeral Home (116 Benton Ave E, Albia, IA 52531). A wake will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St Mary's Catholic Church (730 W Benton Ave, Albia, IA 52531).
An open memorial has been established to the family to be determined at a later date.
