Karen Sue Amoss Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Sue Amoss of Albia, Iowa, who passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. "Gene" Walsh and Lois Willadene "Deanie" Walsh (Cooper); her brother Joseph Michael; her stepfather Lloyd McDowell; her stepsister Paula DeVore; her brother-in-law Greg Crall; and her parents-in-law, Lawrence "Plute" and Darlene Amoss.

She is survived by: her husband Denny of Patrick's Catholic Church; her children, Troy Amoss (Lori) and Lynnette Major (Josh); her grandchildren, Brock, Shay, Trell, Austin, Allison, Avery and Aubrey; her siblings, Mike Walsh, Bill Walsh (Ann Mellick), Margaret Ann Crall and Mary Helen Husmann (Everett); her sister-in-law Delores Johnson (Mike); and her aunt Helen Walsh. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

A memorial has been established to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
