We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2025, at the age of 88, Marian Alma Walker of Albia, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Beal and Helen Rae Appleton (Tubbs); her husband Roland Walker; her grandson Kyle Walker; and her brother James Arthur Appleton.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Walker (Ellen Hollinrake), Daniel Walker (Shellie Hunt), LuAnn Colosimo (Tony) and Veronica Hein (Dennis); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Herrmann (David), Garrett Walker (Taelyn), Tyler Kipfer (Melanie), Nicholas Kipfer, Hobie Hein, Curtis Walker, Corey Walker (Michaela), Tiffany Spaur and Shannon Wilson; her great grandchildren, Emma, Owen, Jackson, Colin, Miah Kipfer, Landyn, Cason, Reagan, Mason, Hudson, Grayson, Ella Walker, Kreighton and Kemry Harsch; and her sister Margie Cabral. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tharp Funeral Home (116 Benton Ave E, Albia, IA 52531). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established to the Monroe County Health Care Foundation in Albia.
