He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Joseph Flahive and Barbara Kehr (Stein); his grandparents, Edward, Lucile Flahive, Kenneth and Vivian Stein; his father-in-law Bill Cullum; and his nephews, Pete Sarver and Rowan Keller.
He is survived by: his wife Heather; his daughter Hannah Peterson; his son-in-law Dalton Peterson; his grandson Wesley; his mother-in-law Brenda Fulton; his stepmother Wanda Flahive; his siblings, Angie Moser, Mary Ann Sarver (Matt), Jill Blanco (Matt) and Chris Sonnenburg; his siblings-in-law, Cody Cullum, Brittney Keller and Kelsey Boone; Mike. He is also survived by cousins and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sinnott Funeral Home (2030 IA-5, Albia, IA 52531). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
