She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Phillips and Lucille Phillips (Dye); her son John Whaley; and her in-laws, John Sr. and Margaret Whaley.
She is survived by: her husband John Whaley Jr.; her daughter-in-law Janelle Whaley; her children, Terry Whaley, Scott Whaley (Sara) and Crista; her grandchildren, Ben Whaley (Kelcie), Brian Whaley (Kristen), Jake Whaley (Heidi), Nick Whaley (Baylie), Rachel Whaley, Gabe Whaley, Hannah Whaley, Taylor Halverson-Whaley (Eric), Cain Whaley, Olivia Whaley (Dylan Jacobsen), Sofia Whaley and Carson; and her great grandchildren, Harrison, Kam, Grayden, Karter, Brielle, Clara, John, Marie, Ellie, Matteo and Dahlia.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Mitchell Family Funeral Home - Marshalltown (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be directed to Suncrest Hospice or the Albion First Presbyterian Church.
