He is survived by: his wife Patricia of Alden; his children, Kent McElvania (Lois) of West Union, Kayleen Ruhl (Bud) of New London and Kristine Tjarks (Steve) of Alden; his grandchildren, Erin TeKippe (Mickey), Jeff McElvania (Christine), Paul McElvania (Jenny Rapp), Ryan Ruhl and Riley Tjarks; his great grandchildren, Penelope, Beatrix TeKippe, Teddy and James McElvania; and his brother Marlyn McElvania (Marlys) of Alden. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
