He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Thomas (Carman); his siblings, Norma Lee and Jeff Thomas; his parents-in-law, Dwight and Leota Schaper; and his brothers-in-law, Marvin McCulley and David Farnsworth.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Schaper; his son Kraig; and his siblings, Anita Stineman (Mike) and Melvin Thomas (Rita). He is also survived by aunts & uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Memorials in his memory may be directed to the family and will be distributed to the Kossuth County Cancer Foundation and the American Cancer Society - Russell and Ann Gerdin Hope Lodge in Iowa City, in Bruce's memory.
