We are sad to announce that on April 22, 2025, at the age of 59, Daniel E. Bollig in Algona, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Bollig and Ann Bollig; and his nephew Ben Geving. He is survived by: his wife Ranne Bollig (Hilsabeck) of Huxley; his daughters, Andrea and Katie Kaiya (Jason); and his siblings, Jean Ann Villarreal (Noe), Bonny Geving (Jay), Becky Travis (Wyman), Helen George (Ron), Mark Bollig (Teresa), Carol Briman (Rob), Joe Bollig (Julie) and David Bollig.

A rosary was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (502 Douglas Ave, Ames, IA 50010). Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church (510 E 1st St, Ankeny, IA 50021). A burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (2000 US-18, Algona, IA 50511).

“Dearest Bolligs, Condolences. When I think of all the fun we had as kids playing on the farm, perhaps we should be amazed that we made it this long. Joe and Danny loved speed and danger, and we all jumped in and joined them. Coming down from MN to the Bolligs was better than Disneyland and Danny did not disappoint.
