He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dorweiler and Lucille Dorweiler (Hynes); his wife Eleanor Eckert; his brother Raymond; his son Michael; his brothers-in-law, David Youngwirth and Marvin Bode; and his sibling's children, Brian Bode, Kevin Bode, Doug Dorweiler and Carol Grage.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Weitl (Clyde) of Templeton, Larry Middleton of Texas, Lynda Schirck (Keith) of Carroll and Tim Dorweiler (Karla) of Farmington Hills, Michigan; his stepdaughter Lavina Erickson (Raymond) of Minneapolis, Minnesota.; and his siblings, Helen Youngwirth, Betty VonBank (Pat), Patricia Bode, Bonnie Barickman (Grant), Mary Peterson (Bob), Cathy Tauke (Tony) and Ken Dorweiler (Michele). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
