Richard Reising Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Reising of Algona, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew G. Reising and Esther Reising (Engel); his grandson Sean Beisch; and his siblings, Zeno Reising, Colleen Studer, Ramona Huff, Patricia Reising, Dean, Mary and Mary Lee Reising.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Goetz; his children, John Reising, Lynn Weringa (Brent) of Spirit Lake and Cyndi Hanna (Jason Foster) of Kenai, Alaska; his grandchildren, Ashley Beisch, Aaron Weringa, Ashley Weringa, Spencer Burcham, Christopher Reising, Abby Hanna and Jessica Hanna; his great grandchild Oakley Abrahamson; and his siblings, Inez Eden of Woden, Rosa Lee Studer of Algona, James Reising of Garner, Thomas Reising (Mary Ann) of Algona, Marlene Schneider of Algona, Bonnie Graham (Ken) of Webster City, Linda Schoby (Jim) of Algona and Andrew C. Reising (Geralyn) of Wesley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lentz Funeral Home (403 E McGregor St, Algona, IA 50511). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Divine Mercy Catholic Parish - St. Cecelia (715 E North St, Algona, IA 50511).
In honor of Richard, memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children Hospital or the Kossuth County Food Pantry.
