He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gust and Leila Gust (Mumm); his wife Susie; his daughter Lara; his sister Jeanne Sadler; and his nephew Eddie Beinke.
He is survived by: his children, Constanse "Connie" Mechler (Dale) of Algona, IA and Diane Long (Tom) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Joan, Hannah, Emily and Brendon; and his sister Janet Beinke of Moscow, IA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
