He was predeceased by: his parents, Antone Speich and Ellen Speich (Johnson); his wife Karen Speich; his son Daryl; his daughter-in-law Leah Speich; his siblings, Verona Berninghaus (Paul), Ruth Speich, Evelyn Walston (Gene), Edwin, Norman and Arland Speich (Marva); his in-laws, Richard Groff (Peggy), Robert Bethune (Linda), Nancy Imhoff (Boyd), Betty Imhoff and Dennis Hovinga; and his nephew Charles Walston.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Speich of Algona and LeAnn Boyken (Harlan Tulp) of Belmond; his grandson Anthony Speich of Algona; and his siblings-in-law, Della Speich of Hampton, Pat Hovinga of Laurens and Gary Imhoff of Lohrville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
