He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Hovenga; his son Dale Deuell; his brother Donald Deuell (Carrie); his siblings-in-law, Bernice Freeman (Lavern) and Donald Hovenga; and his nephews, Lee Deuell and Henry Hovenga.
He is survived by: his daughter Sheila Hill (Steve); his grandchildren, Jen Neely (Mark), Matt Hill (Niki) and A. J. Hill (Sarah); his daughter-in-law Deb Deuell; his grandchildren, Dana Hinders (Chris) and Daniel Deuell (Aimee); his great grandchildren, Logan, Carter, Ava, Ari, Perin and Hunter; and his sister-in-law LaVonne Hovenga.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Reformed Church (614 Cherry St, Allison, IA 50602). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
