It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anna J. Berge of Alta, Iowa, born in Audubon, Iowa, who passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Louis Larsen and Minna Larsen; her husband Dr. Richard Deane Berge; her son Eric Christian Berge; her siblings, Lawrence (Jane Larsen), Arnold (Dorothy Ann Larsen) and Neoma; her brother-in-law Emmert Steen; and her in-laws, Phyllis (Berge), Jim Hanson and Jim Smith.

She is survived by : her children, Steven and Jean Berge (Krebs) of Iowa City; her granddaughter Kathryn Berge (Peter Nagle); her children, Kristine Berge, Beth and Russ Winterhof of Aurelia; her grandchildren, Nathan Winterhof (Sara Pearson), Ehren (Karen), Joel Berge of San Mateo, Rebecca and Fred Haberecht of Fort Collins; her children, Hannah Haberecht, Freddie Haberecht, Jennifer Berge and Robert Morgan of West Burlington; her grandchildren, Zachary, Kelsey Morgan (Shady) and Lauren Morgan; her brothers, Peter (Inetta Larsen), Philip (Sandy Larsen) and Phelva Smith of Oak Lawn; and also, Gabriel, Pfeifer, Elizabeth, Philip Winterhof and Pip. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (401 W 2nd St, Alta, IA 51002).
