She is survived by: her son Jon (Cathy); and her grandchildren, Melessia McGinnis (Michael), Angela Megchiani (Hiren), Lindsay Weigel (Alex), Jeremy Ackelson (Jill) and Ryan Ackelson (Deidre). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Altoona Funeral Home (105 4th St SW, Altoona, IA 50009). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
