He is survived by: his wife Carol; his daughters, Kristin Hook (Aaron), Lisa Henderson (Greg), Jamie DeVore and Stephanie Mallicoat (Jordan); his grandchildren, Ava, Koehn Hook, Lily, Gavin, Grady, Laney Henderson, Miles, Dawson, Shepard and Della Mallicoat; his sisters, Carol Messner, Linda Mosier (Brian), Nancy DeVore (Jeneanne Visser) and Mary Jo Smith; and his sister-in-law Cathy DeVore. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Iles Grandview Park Chapel (3211 Hubbell Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317). Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (3300 Easton Blvd, Des Moines, IA 50317).
