He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Veik and Amelia Veik (Overman); his daughter Lanette Welton; his siblings, Earl Veik, Floyd Veik, Henry Veik, Betty Lou Veik and Mildred Veik; and his siblings-in-law, Joann Veik, Marlene Veik and Cecil Dicken.
He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Veik; his children, Gerald Veik (Linda), Glenn Veik, Teresa Michelson (Brian) and Janell Veik (Mario); his grandchildren, Jeff Hartwig (Courtney), Justin Hartwig, Chantel Veik (Luis), Micaela Veik, Amadeo Chua-Carrion (Abby), Dylan Veik, Holly Michelson, Rose Michelson, Dane Michelson (Mackenzie), Janna Veik, Anthony Veik and Natalie Veik; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Madilyn, Ada, Olivia, Noah and Isla; and his siblings, Valinda Dicken, David Veik, Flavian Veik (Monica), Lauren Veik (Joann) and Pat Veik (Millie).
