He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Shaver and Dwayne Shaver; his son Brian Shaver; his sisters, June Bradley and Joyce Jessen; and his brother-in-law Ron Jessen.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Craig Shaver (Vickie), Diane White, Scott Shaver (Diane), Steve Shaver (Missy), John Shaver (Connie), Stacey Rohe (Joe) and Jeff Shaver (Mindy); and his sister Janet Grabenbauer (Woody). He is also survived by 24 grandkids; and 24 great grandkids.
