We announce the death of John Alan Ross of Altoona, Iowa, who passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ross and Mary "Marcie" Ross (McVay). He is survived by: his children, Marcie Hasty (Chris), Madison Grochala (Nicholas), Bergan Ross and Briar Ross; his sister Cheri Ross (Fred Heinz); and his grandchildren, Ethan Mitchell (Chloe Brossard), Braden Hasty, Nathan Hasty, Logan Ross, Kinzy Ross, Bodie Ross, Baylor Ross, Jamie Ross and Kamrynn Grochala.
