He is survived by: his wife Carmeline; his daughter Shana Edwards (Paul); his grandchildren, Daniel Murphy-Breeden, Jayden Edwards and Olivia Edwards; and his sister Patti Carlson (Bob).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home (105 4th St SW, Altoona, IA 50009). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bondurant Cemetery (850 2nd St SE, Bondurant, IA 50035).
