Robert Newborg Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Robert Newborg of Alvord, Iowa. Robert, born on January 4, 1938, passed away on June 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Newborg and Helen Newborg (Mundt); his son Joel Newborg; and his brother Sherley Newborg. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Vicki Kletscher (Brian) of Lamberton, Merle Newborg (Marsha) of Alvord, Brian Newborg (Emily) of Alton, Mike Newborg (Emma) of Inwood and Andrea Newborg of Kiln, Mississippi; his grandchildren, Cody Knobloch, Alex Knobloch, Alan Newborg, Matt Newborg, Jake Newborg, Samantha Hoefling, Mindy Plathe, Melissa Snyders, Erika Rozeboom and Madisyn Newborg; and his stepgranddaughter Hillary Myers. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a charity designated at a later date in memory of Bob.
