Ardyce A. Roehr Obituary
We announce the death of Ardyce A. Roehr of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 82. Ardyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Ardyce will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Ardyce will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Ardyce’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Harold and Marvel Marie Wilson Fett. She is survived by: her husband Don Roehr; her daughters, Kristie Roehr Sigler (Eric) of Overland Park and Kari Roehr (Kate O'Connor) of Des Moines, Iowa; and her siblings, Ed Fett (Shirley) of Peosta, Iowa and Leorita Hauschildt (Leo) of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, August 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethesda Lutheran Church (1517 Northwestern Ave, Ames, IA 50010). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 20th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church (Pella, IA), Bethesda Lutheran Church (Ames, IA), the Iowa 4-H Foundation, or the College of Health and Human Sciences at Iowa State University.
