It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Schmidt (Ames, Iowa), born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Mary (Dietrich), Rose (Merz), Elizabeth (Pavone), Joe and John.
She is survived by: her husband Frederick A. Schmidt (Rick); her sons, Frederick Louis (Christi) and John Robert (Elaine); her grandchildren, Nicole and Bobby of Allen, TX; her son Mark Edward (Faye); her grandchildren, Adam and Shelby of Lewisville, TX; her daughter Cheryl Ann (James); her grandchildren, Tom, Daniel and Katie (Pusczek); her brother Paul Westhoff; and her friend Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Research Hospital, 50 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 58105.
