It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Schneider of Ames, Iowa, born in Jackson, Michigan, who passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Othmar Landkamer and Helen Landkamer (Minch); her husband Leo; her sister Marjory; and her grandson Benjamin Schneider.
She is survived by : her children, Mark (Meg) of Boise, ID, Carl (Christine) of Dallas, OR, Larry of Silverton, OR, Frank (Gaynelle) of Lascassas, TN, Martha Fifield (Jim) of Des Moines and Paul (Adele) of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Aaron Schneider (Milana), Beth Schneider-Coulter (Jared), Matthew Schneider, Anna Schneider, Elizabeth Schneider, Joseph Schneider, Tara Sorenson (Stan), Audrey Spear (Caleb), Rachel Ingram, Amber Schneider, Lindsey Jungman (Brian), Emily Fifield (Karn Shah), John Fifield-Perez (Fidencio), Joel Schneider and Rachel Schneider; and her brother James Landkamer. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
