It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Lee Bents (Ames, Iowa), who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cornelius and Opal Louise Bents (Wood). He is survived by: his wife Glenna Mae Sparks; his children, Jeremy Bents (Katie) of Boone and Jessica Odell (Curtis) of Princeton, IL; his grandchildren, Sage, Brody, Julia Dietrich (Joshua), Corbin, Celeste, Glory, Zebulun, Serenity, Hogan Bents, Cade, Joel and Callie Odell; and his siblings, Marji Smith of Lisbon, CT and Terry Bents of Hampton, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Billy's memory may be directed to Christ Community Church - Upwards Program or Princeton Bible Church.
