He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Edwards and Marian Edwards; his parents-in-law, Peter and Elaine Pash; his sister Gloria Craft; and his daughter Elise Erin Polkowske.
He is survived by: his wife Kristine of Story City; his children, Emily Zalasky (Andrew) of Ames and Zachary Edwards of Ashland, OR; his son-in-law Patrick Polkowske (Lori) of Pine Island, MN; his grandchildren, Allison Johnson (Brock), Brady Zalasky, Kellar Edwards, Tate Zalasky, Oliver Polkowske and Myles Polkowske; his great grandchildren, Everett Johnson, Elijah Johnson and Ezra Johnson; and his siblings, David Edwards (Carol) of Thornton, CO, Rebecca Heidenwirth (Tim) of Greene, IA and Tammy DenHartog (Jerry) of Cedar Falls, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
