She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Wauters and Evelyn Wauters (DeRycke); and her sister Lee (Craig). She is survived by: her husband Harold McLaughlin; her children, Michael (Kim) of Allen, TX, Kelly (Kevin) of Port Orange, FL, Timothy (Lisa) of Chicago Heights, IL and Patrick (Jennifer); and her brother Gary (Carol).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (2210 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50014). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
