He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Mae Edwards (Ballard) and Ralph William David Edwards; his son Brian Edwards; his in-laws, Rex and Maefray James; his siblings, Terrill Edwards, Philip Edwards, Dixie Swanson and Pam Woods; his siblings-in-law, Joe Weinkoetz, Terry Berdine and Susan Colt; his niece Candace Edwards; his nephew Garth Swanson; and his pet Petey.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Miller (James); his daughter Brenda Kafer (Robert) of Grand Junction; his stepchildren, Jim Miller of Osceola, Jeanette Hughes (Byron) of Ottumwa and Julia Miller of Ottumwa; his sister Judy Weinkoetz of Afton; his grandchildren, Cody Walter (Devin), Conner Walter, Casey Walter, Rebecca Ladd (Austin Decker), Rachel Antons (Josh Althoff) and Jonathan Antons; his great grandchild Freya Walter; and his siblings-in-law, Ellen Rinner (Charlie), Jerry James (Mary) and Steve James (Barb). He is also survived by several step grandchildren, half siblings, nieces, and nephews.
