Daniel M. Betts Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Daniel M. Betts (Ames, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Daniel left this world on September 19, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Betts and Hertha Betts (Dohrman); and his former wife Julia Betts. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Julia H. Betts; his wife Joan Betts of Ames; his children, Audrey Wheeler (Mark) of Cheyenne, Dan Betts (Kris) of Tarpon Springs and Kathy Betts of Milford, Iowa; his stepdaughter Meg Whitty (Patrick) of Des Moines, Iowa.; his brother Steve Betts (Sharon) of The Villages, Florida.; his grandchildren, Katie (George Moser) of Cheyenne, Alex Betts of Orlando, Danielle Kahrs (Cory) of Indianola, Kim Naatjes of Lansing and Emily Naatjes of Kaohsiung City; his great grandchildren, Lexi, Olivia, William and Katherine; and his sisters-in-law, Jan Putnam (Tom) of Boone and Mary Wandling (George).
