With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Daniel M. Betts (Ames, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Betts and Hertha Betts (Dohrman); and his former wife Julia Betts. He is survived by: his wife Joan Betts of Ames, His; his children, Audrey (Mark), Dan Betts (Kris) of Tarpon Springs and Kathy; his brother Steve Betts (Sharon) of The Villages, Florida.; his grandchildren, Katie (George Moser), Danielle (Kory) and Kim; his great grandchildren, Lexi, Olivia, Will and Katherin (Kat); his sisters, Jan Putnam (Tom) and Mary Wandling (George); Meg Patrick Witty (Patrick) of Des Moines.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (502 Douglas Ave, Ames, IA 50010). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Lutheran Church (209 Colorado Ave, Ames, IA 50014).
