He is survived by: his parents, Arturo Trujillo and Thelma Trujillo; his wife Christine; his son Alexander; and his siblings, Cornelia Villareal (Frank) of Albuquerque, Arthur (Geraldine) of Albuquerque and Mark of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his in-laws; and many nieces, nephews, extended family.
To honor Darrell's life and the way he showed up for others, a memorial fund called the Tru-Hero Memorial-Inspired by Kindness, Driven by Courage, has been established.
