With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David J. Knippel of Ames, Iowa, born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 13, 2022 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David J. Knippel to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Darwin Jack and Odell Knippel (Ehricke); and his sister Sandy. He is survived by : his wife Susan of Ames; his son Daniel Knippel (Kayla); his grandson Connor Ash of Ellsworth; his son Eric Knippel of Huxley; his siblings, Kristine Nicholson of Oshkosh, WI and Robert Knippel (Naomi) of Oshkosh, WI; and his sister-in-law Audrey Knight (Jack) of Boone. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Boone or Northridge Village in Ames.
