She was predeceased by: her father Gene Sattler; her husband Charlie Oberman; her niece Courtney Dunmire Parker; her mother-in-law Charlene Oberman Lippolt; and her stepfather-in-law Carl Lippolt.
She is survived by: her mother Dorothy Sattler Buerkle; her stepfather Curtis Buerkle; her siblings, James Sattler (Cindi) and LeeAnne Tvedt (Cody); her niece Alexis; her nephew Gunnar; her siblings-in-law, Patricia J. Parker and Robert Michael Oberman; her nieces and nephews, Melinda Hamann (Zach), Melissa Spencer (Chad), Devon Oberman (Amber), Damian Dunmire and Alistor Dunmire; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Skylar and Shannon VandeKrol; Samantha Goodale.
In lieu of flowers, memorials checks may be made in her honor to her family, to victims of domestic violence in the Ames area through "ACCESS-Assault Care Center Extended Shelter & Support," or to the "ASPCA-American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals," both organizations which Dawn respected for their important contributions to society.
