The memory of Delmar Bartle Woodward of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on March 5, 2026 at the age of 105, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bartle H. Woodward and Elsie Woodward; and his half-brothers, Glenn Grewell (Earl), Howard Grewell, Merle Grewell and Arthur Grewell.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Woodward (Irene) of Chico, Cheryl Harless (Lonnie) of Springfield Missouri and Dale Woodward of Ames; and his granddaughters, Jennifer Mallory (Charles) of Battlefield, Michelle Hess (John) of Mayer, Monica Woodward (Calvin Hu) of Chico and Denise Woodward (Timothy Christensen) of Burbank. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

Post retirement he worked at Adams Funeral Home for 10 years and subsequently he volunteered at the Heartland Senior Center in Ames for more than 20 years until age 99 when the Covid-19 pandemic halted the activity at the Senior Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church, 6th & Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa.
