With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Diann Sarah Arthur of Ames, Iowa, born in Fremont, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 23, 2025 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvie Long and Verba Carriger Long Intorn; her sister Janice Rutledge; her nephew Michael Prickrel; and her nieces, Patricia Rutledge Thompson and Katherine Rutledge.
She is survived by: her child Ouna Killam (Tim) of Gilbert; her grandchildren, Jason Killam (Emily) of Boone and Erica Helland (Eric) of Urbandale, Iowa; her son Rick Arthur (Hope) of Ames; her grandsons, Adam (Rachel) of Urbandale, Alex (Chelsea) of Beaverdale and Austin Arthur of Ames Iowa; her daughter Cindy Ratliff (Ron) of Gilbert; her grandchildren, Ryan of Gilbert and Nolan Ratliff of Story City; and her sisters, Nina Falconer (Jack), Linda Rogers and Nancy Long. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Diann struggled with Alzheimer's and was blessed to have her sister Nancy care for her in her home over the past seven years - a true expression of love and devotion.
