With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Wilmot of Ames, Iowa, who passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Wilmot to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Dewey Case and Lela Merle Case (Simpson); her brothers, Richard, Keith and James; her sons, Jay Owen and Neal Allen; and her husband Owen B. Wilmot.
She is survived by: her daughter Deb Anderson; her son-in-law Ray Anderson; her grandchildren, David Owen Cameron, Jessica Cameron Griggs and Ryan Anderson; her great grandchildren, Asa Cameron and Geronimo Anderson; and her sister-in-law Shirley Meis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the North Grand Christian Church (919 30th St, Ames, IA 50010). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Rose Hill Cemetery (106 W Ruby St, Albion, NE 68620). Dorothy moved to The Rose Assisted Living Center in Ames in early 2020, just weeks before the Pandemic shutdown.
